Why can't I register with a Gmail/AOL account?

Because Gmail is full of spammers, and banning Gmail accounts cuts down on the number of spammers who try to register here by an extraordinary percentage.

For example, in the last 24 hours we've had:

43 new accounts created
- 41 spammers
- 31 of those spammers using G-mail accounts
2 real actual human beings

As we review all new accounts manually, the sheer volume of spam means we've had to blacklist Gmail. Sorry.

For those who've asked me recently, the same goes for AOL accounts- very few people in Australia have them, which means that 99% of people trying to register here with AOL e-mail addresses are spammers.
