No it isnt. The back-loaded contracts only apply to the team that needs to match, not the team making the offer.

Yup. 8.3m for Asik isn't bad though. Big and plays D. Aaron Gray got $4m for being able to do one of those.
The Knicks will never win a championship with Melo. Not with the Heat in the East and Stoudamire's contract.
The Rockets will be bad this season, but that is the plan.
Either get Dwight and go into full 'convince him to stay' mode or bottom out this season and get more picks / assets.

The contracts are less. I think they are just going to bottom out, and rebuild OKC style.
