The Cavs / Rockets deals would have given Orlando players which would make them a mediocre team at best... being middle of the field in the NBA is the worst possible place to be as you never acquire good picks in the draft and you never really challenge for a title.
The salary after this coming season is going to be very small for Orlando, they will have good money for free agents as well as picks. Shame they couldnt get rid of Hedo's contract however after this season they will only be paying him 6 mil (final year of his contract).
They removed J-Rich & Duhon which were both good moves so whilst of course your not going to get a good deal when your trading the best big man in the league what they have done is create a junk team they can then build through the draft as well as obtain enough money to buy through free agency.
Lakers fans haven't been this happy since they were Heat fans last season...
Still I think OKC has the better team (imo).
Perkins has always been good at limiting Howard, Ibaka can control Gasol and Westbrook is way too fast and strong for Nash to keep up with.
Will be a great season out west! the East not so much...
Perkins had trouble with Duncan and Parker in the pick and roll. Howard and Nash will be at another level.
Last year Marcin Gortat averaged 4 points a game in Orlando. This year he averages 15 points in Phoenix. They may need to reinforce the rims in the Staples centre.

Jodie Meeks signing also gives them some more punch in the 3pt department. All in all as a Lakers fan this trade period couldn't have been much better. Looking forward to the season
And Chris Duhon as well. Love an ex Dukey.
What I'm kicking myself for now is not getting on some of the 12-1 for the title they were a few weeks back. Now into 3-1. Not saying they're a lock, but would have been a nice interest bet
Lakers bench:
Blake, Earl Clark, Duhon, Meeks, Ebanks, Jamison, Hill.
Does that inspire anybody?
Westbrook | Harden | Durant | Ibaka
Sam Presti
General Manager
Oklahoma City Thunder
Miami's bench didn't inspire anyone too much pre season either. Add Goudeluck to that group as well, he started to come on towards the end of last season. Hill has a big upside as does Ebanks. Jamison could go either way but if he can bring 10-12 minutes of his best will be great.
Fairly content with the roster.
LOL u jealous? Just coz Chris Paul is leaving ur team at the end of the season and Blake will quit on the team.
I can't decide who my Lakers should get, Griffen or Keven Love. If its Griffen, he can reunite with Chirs Paul, he is gonna be a sign and trade to the lakers. Book it.

I guess when your minutes get halved in the playoffs, one needs to occupy that extra bench time some how.
