This:

Giving away the result of a game in the title of the discussion thread.
Should be moved to here:

Permanent ban

What's the position on perma-banned users re-registering a different username and continuing on as if nothing has happened?

Oh, since there's a dedicated thread, I'd like to repeat my suggestion that the Dream Team thread is moved to the FNBL section. Aren't they basically the same thing?

Regarding the infractions/instabans, would it not make more sense to use a combination? Instabanning people for, say, a smiley-only post seems disproportionate; it's the sort of thing that's better handled with a warning IMO.

I think the biggest problem with the infraction system wasn't its existence, but the likelihood of anyone ever compiling enough infractions to cop a ban. They generally seemed too low and to expire too quickly.

On an unrelated note, the two 'Quote' buttons now seem to do the same thing, instead of the smaller one simply adding posts to a list to be quoted whenever 'Post Reply' is clicked. Both just go to the 'Post Reply' page, with that post quoted.

Multi quote seems to still be working normally for me.

Tried it here, and it worked for me too. Odd.

Probably behaves differently in different browsers.

I'm using the same browser I was using when it wasn't working, though. Might've just been some sort of problem that required a browser restart.

Would be possible to have the edit clickie remain active while in infraction mode?
I tried to delete the offending part of a post & couldn't til the bannination was lifted.

Maybe make a "blog/podcast/other websites" section under the FNBL section. That way people can promote themselves as much as they want, and we can choose to ignore them if we wish. The number of visits the thread gets might give them some decent feedback too.

Also, can we lock the current Off Topic stuff away, make it accessible to only the current OT users for nostalgic purposes, then open a new OT section for everyone so we can have more participants.

Merging OS & Other Australian sections is a massive fail. Please separate them.

I'm just gonna go ahead and repost this here.

I don't think I like Other Australian and World forums being merged.

Like Meg said with certain threads in the NBL forum, I click on Other Basketball to read what I thought were NBA related, only to find people ragging on NSW basketball.

I understand wanting to cut down on the number of forum links sitting on the home page, but shouldn't it start with locked forums and the 3 suggestion/rules/information/testing/whatever forums?

My suggestion would be:

(Announcements)

(Basketball)
- NBL
sub forum> NBL Archive
- WNBL
- Other Australian Basketball
sub> HSH
- World
- Fantasy Pretend Losers and Fake DJs

(Un-Basketball) - ot plus as normal to members

(Ozhoops Directory Assistance) - all rules/suggestions/feedback etc in one place

I liked the "Coaches Corner" section. It was very informative as many technically savvy basketballers posted there and answered questions.

Please bring it back.

Thoughts on adding a karma/like/'and1' function?

There's good posts that I want to acknowledge when I read them, but don't want to take up space by quoting and saying just 'yes' or 'I agree'

You mean, to be used when someone constantly post promoting their website or similar?

This a million times.

Also, please get the Boomers stuff out of the FNBL/betting thread.

This is the only forum out of about 20 that I frequent that doesn't have Tapatalk installed. Is it something that can be considered?

Why's that?

I'm a mod/ admin on another site and have had it installed for several years. There were a few teething problems in earlier versions but it works well now (vBulletin 4)
