Well if you cant compromise on getting Foxtel there is definitely something wrong haha You seemingly obviously have a passion for NBL. If the wife says something like 'nah I don't want you to enjoy your passion by being able to watch the games on tv' then that says something to me. Time to move on DDFan, plenty of fish in the sea lol

    I agree, & it's all her fault.

Hmmmm, you've got a point there.

Sheesh, you young blokes & your sicko sexual fantasies.

Sure, I've seen blokes kiss fish, but WTF, you can't hold their hand, they don't have teats, they don't wear nickers, & wag their tail indiscrinately.

With the season days away and no streaming service announced, I decided to investigate ways of accessing Foxtel go overseas.

I've got it working - you'll need a friends Foxtel account login but it works like a dream and costs $3 a month (with a free trial so you can test it first)

Since this flirts with illegality I'll leave the details off, but if anyone else wanting to catch NBL O/S, send me a DM and I'll flick you the details.

This is a very light rumour.

A person on Hoops.com.au said he heard an NBL ad on the radio that advertises watching all the games live and in HD on Foxtel AND on the NBL Live app available on the app store.

The NBL's season launch is this morning.

Could an announcement on a streaming service be made this morning?

I've searched the Apple App Store for "NBL Live" and got nothing.

A light rumour is better than nothing - I'd much rather be able to pay up for a legit streaming service, and by the sounds of it Foxtel go won't have on demand anyway!

You can probably just stream it on Justin.tv or frontrowsports.com

Watch out for the boobie ads

What about betting sites. Is it worth just sitting $20 in an account to access the games.

For those who have used a betting site what is the quality like?

And toward the end of the year you can just place the $20 on United to choke and make a bit of cash for next season.

LK announced tonight a streaming service is launching tomorrow and they've done a broadcast deal with Channel 9 for FTA TV too.

FTA deal with CH 9, courtesy of pickandroll.

"While the details are the free-to-air broadcast deal with Channel 9 have yet to be released, it is expected to be 1 game per week simulcast with Fox Sports on Sunday afternoon."

    Here are the Sunday games:

    Round 12
    Sun. Dec. 27, 2015.........Perth............Melbourne.............7:00 pm......7:00 pm
    Round 15
    Sun. Jan. 17, 2016.........Illawarra........New Zealand.........5:00 pm......3:00 pm
    Round 18
    Sun. Feb. 7, 2016...........Cairns...........New Zealand.........5:00 pm......3:00 pm
    Round 19
    Sun. Feb. 14, 2016.........Adelaide........Perth....................4:00 pm......7:00 pm
    Sun. Feb. 14, 2016.........New Zealand..Melbourne............3:00 pm......3:00 pm

While some may jump on all the NZ & Melbourne home games, there is the view that it may detract from attendances at their games, so it's a gamble that they seem prepared to take to get the message out there.

On Nova in Perth this morning heard an ad (presuming would be nationwide also on Nova) about the NBL, saying all games live on Foxtel and has online streaming service, HardBall etc plus all saying their is an NBL Live app.

Regarding the app i searched it on the play store (android phone) and couldnt find anything. Anyone been able to find it the NBL app at all?

Kestleman announced it at the launch last night, saying it would be available this morning. A tweet from the NBL account today said it would be available "very shortly".

Is it just me or does it seem like there are more pre-season preview articles this year than previous seasons?

The season opener is on the Foxsports News Channel(500)
at 6:30pm AEST. Obviously a lot going on on the other channels...

So it will be on channel 500 for the first 6 rounds, according to Boti.

    NBL Live app is launched!

    https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/nbl-...046278655?mt=8 - iOS

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...cam.nbl.league - Android

    From the NBL's FB page:

The NBL Live App is.. LIVE! Just in time for the season to kick off!

Streaming, stats, news, video, shot charts, play by play.. You name it, we've got it!

Make sure you download the App via the links below and keep up to date with the action. It all begins tonight when the Adelaide 36ers host the Skycity Breakers NZ!
Unsure how they will charge for streaming, doesn't seem to have a login feature in the app, but it does say streaming, and every game live.

Looks like this is just for scores/stats/news etc.

I don't think you will be able to watch any games live, but highlight videos only probably.
I've found a 'Watch Live' button below each game which appears to be just a direct feed from Foxtel.

If you click it now you get Fox sports news.

If the watch live is a feed to Fox Sports News then I expect that to watch games live online you will need a Fox Sports digital subscription (unless you are a Foxtel customer):
    http://www.foxsports.com.au/subscribe/news/1/

$2.50 per week is pretty good value & even $5 is not too bad.

According to this tweet from yesterday, the app is available to purchase soon.

Given that the app was free, I'm not sure what that means?

You can stream free this week, next week there will be a subscription fee similar to AFL.
